Intimacy Directors & Coordinators (IDC) defines the role of an intimacy professional as one who acts as a choreographer, advocate, and liaison between performers and production.

Intimacy may encompass scenes that involve nudity or hyper-exposed work, simulated sex acts, or intimate physical contact.

Hyper-exposure may include any area of the body that a performer keeps covered in daily life but consents to have visible during a performance.

I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) in addition to Level 1 and Level 2 Consent-Forward Artist Training through Intimacy Directors & Coordinators.

I have extensive training and experience in sexual assault response, nonviolent crisis intervention, diversity/equity/inclusion, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and team facilitation.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of North Carolina but I do not diagnose or treat in this capacity during production.

Any general guidance provided for artistic purposes is not intended as a mental health diagnosis or treatment.

I utilize an ethical, strengths-based approach to help you, your performers, and your production team create realistic stories through a lens of understanding mental health.

I provide empathic advocacy, active listening skills and a vast toolkit for working with the full expression of human emotion.

My home base is within the Indigenous lands of the Occaneechi and Saponi Nations, colonially known as Burlington, North Carolina, USA. 

I work as local from Wilmington, North Carolina and New York City, New York.

Intimacy professionals are paid comparably to the industry standards for fight directors/stunt coordinators.
